Kaway’an Eco Park, completed in 2025 in the Philippines, is a 3-hectare ecological destination featuring a series of bamboo pavilions and bridges designed by IBUKU and Sangay Architects, with structural engineering by Atelier One. Conceived as a bamboo mixed-building typology, the project integrates landscape, circulation, and gathering spaces into a cohesive ecological experience. Sweeping rooflines and lightweight bridge structures hover gently above the terrain, connecting visitors to nature without overwhelming it.
Engineered bamboo arches and hybrid structural systems demonstrate how traditional materials can meet contemporary performance standards. The park acts as both environmental sanctuary and educational platform, showcasing bamboo as a scalable solution for tropical architecture across Southeast Asia.
